The GEC BC5445 is an a.c mains valve radio, which was made in 1954. It has long, medium & short wave bands.
The valve line-up is as follows:-
X79, W77, DH77, N78, U78
GEC made some unusual curved top radios in their time. There was previously a larger model BC5639, but I believe that the BC5445 was the last of these designs.
