Philips 480L

The Philips 480L is an a.c/d.c mains valve radio receiver, which was made in 1939. It has long, medium and short wave band reception.
The valve line-up is ECH3, EF9, CBL1, CY1. All these valves are of the side contact variety.
The radio is not currently working. It had lost one of its side mounting slide controls, which had broken off. These are fragile, and akin to like those of "trafficator" indicators on the sides of vintage cars
