This
AC/DC Mains valve radio was made about 1960, and employs lw & mw
bands.
It also employs p.c.b technology. It's main drawback, however, is that it
has no output transformer,
and in it's place has an 800ohms loudspeaker to act as a load for the output
valve.
Not
a very good idea, if the speaker should go o/c, as there are not many of
this type of speaker available
!. The knobs on this set tend to have a "hard life", and are often
found to be damaged. Nice attractive dial !
