The
Stella ST105U is an a.c/d.c mains valve radio, which was made about 1954.
It has long & medium wave band reception. The cabinet is of a two piece
construction, with four screws that keep the cabinet together.
The valves used are as follows:-
UCH42, UF41, UBC41, UL41, UY41
The capacitors in this receiver were of the pitch coated types (replace these!),
and modern types were wired in circuit.
The Stella ST105U looks similar to the Philips 141U radio (but the Stella
lacks the Acrylic front, and is larger in size).
I bought this from Haworth, Yorkshire, when the town once had an antiques
shop & museum -many years ago.
