Vidor CN430

The Vidor CN430 portable battery valve radio was made in 1955. It has facilities for a.c mains operation, and has medium & long wave wave band reception. The batteries for these radios are now long obsolete.
The valves used in the CN430 attache case radio are:-
DK96, DF96, DAF96, DL96.
The control knobs on this radio are very delicate to remove, and great care is required. Upon replacement, suitable grease/Vaseline should be applied to the control shafts and knobs for ease of (future) removal.
This receiver does work, but I may consider replacing some components.
An alarm sounds if the radio is working when the lid is closed
